Today the pressures of increased development are mounting at an alarming rate. Almost all of the easily developed shoreline is taken and the trend is now turning to upland developments that are requesting private marinas, extreme excavation of cliffs and hillsides and removal of acres of native vegetation that protect the soil, wildlife and scenic vistas.
